The Scarborough Real Ale & Cider Festival is organised by the Festival Working Party of the Scarborough Branch fo the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

The festival volunteer staff are all unpaid and have given up their time to ensure you enjoy yours. Please be patient at busy times, abuse will not be tolerated. If anyone is found to be abusing staff or other customers you will be asked to leave.
To be run by the beer festival each day from 12-9 along with the Rotary Club of Scarborough Cavaliers in aid of local charities (see below). All donations welcome prior to the event!
Yes, There is a lift to the Ocean Room where a disabled toilet is available. There is also access along the footpath and sun terrace veranda to the Ocean Room.
There are ample toilet facilities in the building. Please leave them clean and tidy and if there are any problems with the facilities please tell a member of staff.
Smoking (includes e-cigarettes) is not allowed within the building. Please use the designated area outside on the sun terrace veranda. Customers will be issued with event wristbands to allow re-entry into the festival.

Last orders will be called 10:45pm, time will be called at 11;00pm. We would be grateful for your compliance with these times.
Scarborough CAMRA's nominated charity for 2020 is yet to be agreed. Below are the charities supported by the 2019 festival. The Rotary Club have nominated The Rainbow Centre and Yorkshire Beard Day will be raising money for Prostate Cancer UK. All donations are welcome and any unused tokens can be donated to the various charities.
Children are welcomed in the festival until 8pm.
Unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the Ocean Room. However, they are permitted on the sun terrace veranda but must be kept on a lead at all times.
REAL ALE BARS
The bar will be situated on the right hand side of the Ocean Room and will serve 25 beers on Handpumps and 50 beers on gravity.
CIDER & PERRY BARS
At the far end of the bar area there will be 20 real cider/perry available. There will also be a supply of soft drinks available from the Cider bar.
The bar will operate using a beer tokens basis and therefore you will not be able to purchase any drink for cash. Beer tokens are available upon entry and throughout the festival from the reception desk in £5 and £10 cards. You can refund unspent tokens when leaving or donate to one of our chosen charities,
Beers 3.9% ABV or under:- £3 per pint, £1.50 per half, £1.00 per third
Beers 4%-5.9% ABV:- £3.30 per pint, £1.70 per half, £1.10 per third
Beers over 6% ABV:- £3.60 per pint, £1.80 per half, £1.20 per third
Ciders and Perrys:- £3.60 per pint, £1.80 per half, £1.20 per third
The prices of the Keykeg beers are yet to be determined.
£1 each refundable glasses issued on entry. A 2020 souvenir glass is available for £2. All glasses are oversized and lined with pint and half pint measures. Half pint glasses will also be available and lined with third pint measures.
Please NOTE there are no bottled beers.
PROOF OF AGE
We are operating a 'Challenge 21' policy, Proof of identity may be required should anybody appear to be under 21. Behaviour during the festival will be monitored closely.

Hot and cold menu including snacks will be available including vegetarian options. Menu will be displayed here when agreed with the venue.
Please be aware that unless otherwise stated beer will contain the following allergen: Gluten in the form of Barley or Wheat
Please be aware that cider & perry may contain the following allergen: Sulphites
Please check the menu or with staff at the food kiosk if you have intolerance to one of the 14 notifiable allergens.
Notices will be up at the catering stalls. There will be some gluten free beers available!
Live music will be held at the venue during Friday & Saturday evenings. The list of bands and artists will be available here shortly.
